WESTWOOD Fairview faltered in the first set only to bounce back and beat Ashland, 3-1 (25-27, 25-22, 25-11, 30-28), in a 64th District volleyball matchup on Thursday.
Charlee Hobbs tallied a team-high 20 kills to go with 24 digs. Graycin Price contributed 29 digs and 10 kills. Kameron Fry had a team-best 44 digs. Kiera Loving collected 36 assists and four aces.
The Lady Eagles’ victory marked their first over Ashland since Sept. 6, 2016.
Fairview (11-10) is set to meet the Volleycats (8-12) again on Saturday at Boyd County.
