IRONTON The River City Buccaneers notched a convincing victory over the Ohio Valley Saints in their final home game of the regular season on Saturday.

The Bucs beat the Saints, 48-0, at Tanks Memorial Stadium.

Luke Brown rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Job Swords completed five passes for 100 yards. He ran for three scores.

Fred Crozier tallied 130 offensive yards, including 92 on the ground. Chase Devore had two grabs for 18 yards.

The semi-pro Bucs exploded for 22 second-quarter points in a span of less than five minutes. Luke Brown scored both of his TDs in the stanza. Crozier had a two-point run. Swords found Jermaine Payton for a two-point pass. Swords also jad a 50-yard interception return.

Crozier and Swords accounted for rushing scores in the third. Cedric Legette had a pick-six to put the exclamation point on the contest with 3:50 to go in the fourth quarter.

The Bucs will travel to Columbus to face the War Eagles, who are fighting for a playoff spot. The Bucs (5-2) have already solidified a postseason berth.
