LEXINGTON Unrelenting rain plus an ominous forecast was enough of a threatening combination to prompt the KHSAA to move the entire softball tournament to next weekend at the University of Kentucky’s John Cropp Stadium. The schedule will remain the same, but it will be June 14-16 instead of the originally scheduled June 7-9.

Inclement weather affected the state baseball tournament for the third straight day. Trinity and Hazard, which were originally slated to play Thursday night at 8:30, finally squeezed in five innings on Friday. Trinity won, 13-0.

The semifinals are set for today. The championship will remain at its originally scheduled time, barring any changes today.
