Russell High School will hold its graduation ceremony at 8 p.m. Thursday in the gymnasium.

The speaker will be 1960 Russell graduate David Carter.

The valedictorian is Jeremy Harbour, son of Greg and Debbie Harbour.

Harbour is a National Merit Scholar, student government president, National Beta Club vice president, captain of the swim team, Governor's Cup state science champion, Beta Club state science champion, academic all-state first team, Governor's Cup state championship team, Science Olympiad state championship team, and member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society.

He received a full scholarship to the University of Louisville, where he will major in chemistry.

The salutatorian is Michael David Lucas, son of Bob and Cindy Lucas.

Lucas has accepted a Grawemeyer Scholarship at the University of Louisville. He plans to attend the J.B. Speed School of Engineering this fall, with a major in chemical engineering.

He is a member of the Science Olympiad state championship team, the 1st Place Governor's Cup academic team, a Governor's Scholar, member of the National Honor Society and the National Beta Club.
