Watching the southwest Atlantic; Quiet elsewhere
There are currently no organized tropical systems across the Atlantic, but we continue to watch the southwestern Atlantic for a low chance of development.
An area of low pressure will form off the southeast coast of the United States Friday. This low will have a low chance for subtropical development this weekend before moving inland across the
Carolinas.
While this area only has a small chance of development, it will still bring rain, rough surf, coastal erosion and coastal flooding to areas from North Carolina to northern Florida from Friday
through the holiday weekend.
Elsewhere across the basin, there are a few tropical waves, but no further development or organization of these waves is expected.
