A tractor trailer hauling metal flipped over near the 149-mile marker on Interstate 64 eastbound near the weigh station.
The highway has been reduced to the right lane and will likely be that way for several hours.
According to radio traffic, the driver was able to exit the truck and walk over to the weigh station. Details on injuries were not released at the scene.
The cause of the accident is unknown. More than 100 feet of cable barrier was impacted, however.
The accident happened around 10 a.m. on Monday.
Kentucky State Police, Morehead Fire Department, Morehead-Rowan County EMS, a representative from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, and Safe Patrol responded to the scene.
