CATLETTSBURG A Rush man has been indicted on an attempted murder charge after court records said he fired a weapon into a vehicle with intent to kill another person.
Bryon Pennington, 45, was indicted by the Boyd County Grand Jury on the charge, according to court records.
Pennington was charged after court records indicate he shot a firearm into a vehicle, with a person inside it, with the intent to cause death. The identity of the individual is being withheld by The Daily Independent for the protection of the victim.
The incident occurred on Oct. 24, and Pennington was arrested four days later by the Boyd County Sheriff’s Department on an e-warrant for the charge.
Attempted murder is a class B felony, punishable by 10 to 20 years imprisoned should Pennington be found guilty.
Pennington has been released from the Boyd County Detention Center.
