State highway crews will close KY 168 (Blackburn Avenue) again next week for drainage box repairs – this time between Margarette Street and Boone Street in downtown Ashland.

Beginning about 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, crews will close KY 168 between and Margarette Street (mile point 6.2) and Boone Street (mile point 6.1) to raise concrete drain inlets to street level. The road will remain closed to all thru traffic around-the-clock for several days. Thru traffic may detour via Roberts Drive, Winslow Road at Rose Hill (KY 1134) and 13th Street, or other local routes.

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
