ASHLAND Traeger is The Daily Independent’s Pet of the Week.
A 2-year-old shepherd/husky mix, Traeger is described as a “friendly and playful” dog with a “beautiful fur coat,” according to Boyd County Animal Shelter volunteer Mary Ware.
Traeger is “very eager to please” and will sit if you give it doggie cookies, Ware said. He does tug on a leashes, so Ware recommends training and a harness.
“Can’t you see this boy pulling your kiddos on their sled or hiking at Greenbo?” Ware said. “He is super cool.”
Traeger is ID No. 45 at the shelter. Inquiries can be made about the dog at (606) 324-0745.
Those wanting to visit Traeger can do so at the shelter located at 1025 Bob McCullough Drive in Ashland. Visiting hours can are Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
