ASHLAND The Daily Independent’s Pet of the Week is Boyd County Animal Shelter resident Clyde.

Mary Ware, a volunteer with the Boyd County Animal Shelter, said Clyde is approximately five to six months old.

“He is a gorgeous puppy,” Ware said. “His coat has little black spots in it that are the cutest! Please take a moment and look at that face!”

Ware said Clyde sat for treats on Thursday and walked well on his leash, too.

“His people said he was housebroken and crate-trained,” Ware said. “If you are looking for a gorgeous puppy, then you need to come meet Clyde. He is going to love to be with people that are active wit him. Walks in the park are a must for this baby!”

You can learn more about Clyde (ID No. 8) by visiting the shelter at 1025 Bob McCullough Drive or by calling (606) 324-0745.

Adoption fees at the shelter are $75 for dogs and $50 for cats. The fee covers the first round of shots, worming, rabies vaccine and spaying or neutering — the first round of shots is not included for cats.

Adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
