ASHLAND A small boutique on 15th Street strives to deliver quality clothing at an affordable price.

Cody Foran, 27, of Ashland, decided to open Alexander Reann with his customers in mind. This isn’t Foran’s first time running a clothing store. He had an online boutique called Southern Baked Cotton that he sold in summer of 2019.

“We want to stand out from others,” said Foran. “Not just price-wise or what we carry.”

Foran said his store’s clothing is priced affordable so his customers can get more for their money.

The most expensive piece of clothing in the store is $45, but most pieces start at $18.

“I’d rather move quantity at an affordable price than just to move a few pieces at a higher price. Plus I am a consumer just like everyone else and I don’t want to overpay,” said Foran.

The boutique is stocked with basic tops, sweaters, dresses, graphic T-shirts and more.

“I want you to be able to afford a full outfit and not break the bank,” said Foran. “We want to be different and offer a wider range.”

Foran said they don’t cater to any particular size category.

“We carry sizes from small to 4X,” he said. “We have clothing and accessories for everyone. Our real goal with this is to empower women to be their real selves.”

Foran said they have more plus-sized clothing than not.

The boutique also sells hats and other accessories. Some of the designs include outlines of Kentucky, West Virginia and Ohio.

“We (city leaders) are excited for any business that invests in downtown,” said city commissioner Matt Perkins.

Foran said he has big plans for 2020. He hopes to add another store by the end of the year.

Alexander Reann is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store is at 224 15th Street.
