ASHLAND – A homeless man was arrested by police at Ashland’s Central Park after police said they discovered narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Mark D. Sargent was arrested by the Ashland Police Department on August 10 at the park on the charges of second-degree possession of a controlled substance, and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, according to police reports.

Sargent was also charged with public intoxication of a controlled substance, and was suspected of being under the influence of drugs or narcotics, according to police reports.

APD seized Buprenorphine and a metal spoon with pink residue at the time of arrest, according to police reports.
