RUSSELL Dr. Steve Lochow and Dr. Amy Ditty Lochow will join Russell High School Hall of Fame during Alumni Association Homecoming activities on Friday night.
Russell High School Alumni Association will sponsor several activities in conjunction with Friday’s festivities.
The organization will participate in the Homecoming parade on Thursday evening, and on Friday the unique tradition continues with Red Devil alumni leading the pre-game ceremony.
One of the highlights of each Homecoming is the recognition of the newest members of the Russell High School Hall of Fame that takes place at the beginning of the halftime ceremonies.
The Lochows were both standout athletes at Russell and are currently doctors in Huntington.
Dr. Steve Lochow, a 1990 graduate, was an outstanding RHS basketball and football player and college All-American and Academic All-American for football at Dayton.
He currently is an orthopedic surgeon in Huntington.
Dr. Amy Ditty Lochow, a 1992 graduate. Dr. Amy was an outstanding basketball and tennis athlete at RHS and college All-American and Academic All-American in tennis at Furman.
She is now a pediatrician in Huntington.
Both have competed in triathalons and duathalons, coach youth sports, and are active in serving the community.
With these new members, the Hall of Fame will have 32 alumni and 22 community contributors who have been inducted since 1996.
