ASHLAND – Two people were arrested last week on allegations they vandalized a local credit union's ATM causing approximately $20,000 in damage.

Jack Daniel Estep, 26, and Kortney K. Parsons, 31, both of Ashland, were arrested by the Ashland Police Department on the charges of first degree criminal mischief and theft by deception over $10,000 after police reports indicate the two worked together to allegedly vandalize an ATM.

The incident occurred at Bluegrass Federal Credit Union on Carter Avenue, according to police reports. Authorities suspect the vandalism unfolded in a possible attempt to try and steal the ATM.

Estep and Parsons were lodged at the Boyd County Detention Center without incident.
