Ballroom dance lessons offered on Mondays
Ballroom dance lessons will be taught on Mondays during September at the Underwood Center at 632 Ninth Ave.
Lessons, which will feature a variety of quickly learned dances, will begin with Bachata, an easy Latin dance. The first class will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably and wear a pair of shoes that slide easily.
No partner is required; cost is $6 per class.

Visiting artist set to speak, teach at HMA
Artist Linn Meyers will be a Walter Gropius Master Artist this month at the Huntington Museum of Art.
Meyers will speak about her work at 7 p.m. Thursday; admission is free and a reception will follow.
An exhibit of work by Meyers continues on view at HMA through Oct. 12. The exhibit, titled “Unintended Consequences,” includes collaborative works with Anne Seidman; Beverly Ress; Luis Silva; Rachel Farbiarz; Heidi Lau; Nancy White; Gary Gissler; and Elena Del Rivero.
