Weekend arrests

Authorities remained vigilant over the weekend, with several arrests made in Boyd County, Carter County, and Greenup County.

The following arrests were made over the weekend, according to jail and police records: 

Damion G. Worsley, 38, of Ashland was arrested by the Boyd County Sheriff's Department on Friday on the charges of speeding 15 miles per hour over the limit, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, second-degree wanton endangerment, and possession of open alcohol beverage container in motor vehicle. Worsley was lodged at the Boyd County Detention Center.

Danielle Ranee Comer, 36, of Cannonsburg was arrested by the Boyd County Sheriff's Department on Saturday on charges of inadequate silencer (muffler), first-degree possession of the controlled substance heroin, first-degree possession of the controlled substance methamphetamine, and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia. Comer was lodged at the Boyd County Detention Center.

Shelly Rae Lycans, 50, of Greenup was arrested by the Greenup County Sheriff's Department on Saturday on the charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, second-degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and third-degree criminal mischief. Lycans was lodged at the Greenup County Detention Center.

Joseph Lynn Willis, 30, of Morehead was arrested by Kentucky State Police on Sunday on the charges of speeding 15 miles per hour over the limit, failure to wear seat belts, careless driving, operating on a suspended or revoked license, buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, first-degree possession of the controlled substance methamphetamine, first-degree possession of the controlled substance heroin, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance. Willis was lodged at the Greenup County Detention Center.

Jeremy S. Nichols, 23, of Greenup was arrested by the Grayson Police Department on Sunday on the charges of parole violation for felony offense, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, no registration receipt, failure to produce insurance card, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, and first-degree possession of the controlled substance methamphetamine. Nichols was lodged at the Carter County Detention Center.

James Richard Brown, 34, of Grayson was arrested by the Kentucky State Police on Monday on the charge of fourth-degree assault, a domestic violence charge. Brown was lodged at the Carter County Detention Center.

An arrest is not a conviction of guilt and all individuals are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
