ASHLAND Ashland Central Park will be closed Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. due to a High Wind Advisory issued by the National Weather Service, according to police.

The National Weather Service, out of Charleston, West Virginia, issued a High Wind Advisory for Ashland, Flatwoods, Greenup, Grayson, Olive Hill and multiple other eastern Kentucky, southeastern Ohio, southwestern Virginia and West Virginia cities.

The High Wind Advisory has been issued from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the National Weather Service has said the highest winds will occur Wednesday afternoon.

Southwest winds range from 15-25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph, said the National Weather Service.

"Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle," said the National Weather Service. "Secure outdoor objects."
