GREENUP The Greenup County Grand Jury released the latest indictments recently.

According to court records, the following individuals were indicted on the following charges by the Greenup County Grand Jury:

• Natalie Carter, 41, of Greenup: possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, a class C felony, and unlawfully providing a handgun to a minor, a class D felony.

• Andrew D. Carter Jr., 54, of Load: possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, a class C felony, and unlawfully providing a handgun to a minor, a class D felony.

• Michelle Lynne Whittington, 31, of Willowwood, Ohio: first-degree fleeing or evading police, a class D felony, first-degree wanton endangerment, a class D felony, second-degree criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor, operating on a suspended or revoked license, a class B misdemeanor, and second-degree persistent felony offender, an enhancement charge.

• Christopher Blair Merkle, 55, of Argillite: engaging in organized crime, criminal syndicate, a class B felony, and trafficking in marijuana over five pounds, a class D felony.

• Brian James Chapman, 45, of Columbia, Alabama: possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, a class C felony, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, second offense with aggravating circumstances, an unclassified misdemeanor, possession of drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor, speeding, a violation, and possession of marijuana, a class A misdemeanor.

• William R. Frasure, 53, of Raceland: possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a class D felony.

An indictment is not a conviction of guilt and all individuals are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
