WURTLAND The Farm to Table Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, July 20 at 5 p.m.

The event will be at the McConnell House just north of U.S. 23 and the Industrial Parkway Intersection.

Ticket sales have been brisk and organizers are hoping for a near sell out. Tickets for an evening of food, fellowship and entertainment are still available for $25. Tickets sold in a group of eight or more can request a reserved table. Each reserved table is challenged to be involved in a judged contest to decorate their table with an agricultural theme.

There will be door prizes, an auction and a variety of games for young and old. Guests can top off their meal of chicken, pork and locally grown produce, with ice cream made by The Greenup Old Tractor and Engine Club which will be served with desserts from the Members of the McConnell House.

The event is possible through the Future Farmers from Greenup High School, 4H from the UK extension office, Greenup County Farm Bureau, Greenup Old Tractor and Engine Club, Sweet Bee Gardens, Imel’s Greenhouse and the Historic McConnell House.

Organizers are seeking to defray the cost of the tent rental. For one hundred dollars, you can have your business recognized with a yard card prominently displayed on site and announced periodically to the crowd.

For additional information contact Kenny Imel at 606-831-1208 or Bud Matheny at 606-585-1585 or any of the sponsor organizations.
