CATLETTSBURG An Ashland man was convicted of trafficking in a controlled substance and sentenced to 10 years incarcerated.
Shaun Terry, 47, was convicted in Boyd County courts recently on the charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and first-degree persistent felony offender, according to court records.
The conviction stems out of a controlled buy between a confidential informant and Terry. The transaction was monitored by the Ashland Police Department via video and voice recorder, according to court records. The purchased drugs were sent to the Kentucky State Police lab for testing. It was confirmed to be methamphetamine.
Terry has been lodged at the Boyd County Detention Center since November.
