Kay Stockham

Local author Kay Stockham’s third book, titled “Montana Skies,” will be released Jan. 9 by Harleguin Superromance.

The book will be available for four weeks and online for as long as supplies last.

Stockham has sold six books to the company since her first sale about a year and a half ago.

Her debut novel, “Montana Secrets,” was published by Harlequin’s Superromance category line last October, and hit number seven on the Waldenbooks Series Bestseller list. “Montana Secrets” also was a finalist in the Virginia Romance Writers’ Holt Medallion contest for Best First Book and was chosen 2005’s Best Harlequin Superromance by CataRomance. She also is author of “Man With A Past;” secondary characters from that book appear in “His Perfect Woman,” which is scheduled for release in June 2007.

Kay Stockham is the pseudonym of Dorma Kay (Lyons) Stockham, formerly of South Shore. She currently live near Portsmouth. She is a graduate of Greenup County High School and Shawnee State University, and a seven-year member of Romance Writers of America. She also is also a member of the Kentucky Romance Writers, Ohio Valley RWA, Northeast Ohio RWA, and Central Ohio Fiction Writers, as well as several online writing groups.

She will sign copies of “Montana Skies” from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 20 at Borders Books and Music in the Huntington Mall and at 6 p.m. at Waldenbooks in Ashland Town Center as part of a multi-author signing.

She’ll also make a second appearance at Luminous Salon and Day Spa from noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 3.
