Roy David and Cheryl Deane Burton Gullett of Ashland will mark their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 30.
They were married at South Ashland United Methodist Church by the Rev. Orin Simmerman Jr.
Mr. Gullett, a son of the late Roy G. and Vada A. Gullett, worked at A.C. Lawrence Leather Co., the city of Ashland and Mobile Pressure Cleaning FLRC in Lexington. Her served in the military from 1968 to 1973, spending three years in Germany. He was with the Kentucky Army National Guard for 21 years, retiring in 2005. He is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ashland.
Mr. Gullett, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Helen Griggs Burton, was a devoted mother and housewife. She was in Germany with her husband during his service and raised two sons: Roy David Gullett Jr. and Michael Paul Gullett, both of Ashland. She also is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ashland.
The Gulletts also have two grandchildren: Kayleigh Madison Gullett, 21, and Luke David Paul Gullett, 4.
