Ali Christina Chandler and Reid Scott Smith were married at 1:30 p.m. June 20, 2015, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ironton. The nuptials were preformed by Father David Huffman. Musicians were Chris Laber, vocalist, and Sharon Bradshaw, organist.
The matron of honor was Angela Wirzfeld of Ironton, sister of the bride; bridesmaids were Wendy Preston, cousin of the bride, Tanya Sawyers, Brandi Cumpton, Honette Haynes, Lynda Downs and Leigh Ann Arbogast. Flower girls were Cinci Rose Wirzfeld of Ironton, niece of the bride, and Abby Rose Meek of Ashland, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Ian Simpson of Cincinnati; groomsmen were Philip Perry, Nathan Hamilton, Clayton James, Jeffrey Brown, Nathan Parker and Clyde Porter. Ring bearer was Cameron Layne of Ashland, cousin of the bride.
Parents of the bride are Mary Chandler of Ashland and the late Donald Chandler.
Parents of the groom are Mark and Tabitha Smith of Catlettsburg.
The bride has a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and a master’s degree from Marshall University. She is employed as a teacher at Russell Primary School.
The groom is employed as a technical engineering sergeant in the U.S. Army. He completed a tour of duty in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2013.
The couple honeymooned on Sanibel Island in Florida and reside in Ashland.
