Vehicle slams into Flatwoods pharmacy

FLATWOODS — No one was injured whan a sport-utlility vehicle slammed through the front doors of a Flatwoods pharmacy earlier today, but damage to the building was extensive.

The accident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. at Stultz Pharmacy, located at the corner of Argillite Road and Bellefonte Road in Flatwoods.

The Mitsubishi Montero SUV jumped the curb, slammed through the plate-glass doors and came to rest inside the building. Police said the driver was attempting to brake, but hit the vehicle's accelerator instead.
