Detroit man arrested for hiding heroin in peanut butter

ASHLAND — Boyd County Sheriff Deputies had a sticky situation Friday night.

Deputies arrested a Detroit man for hiding heroin in peanut butter.

Deron Cohen was stopped while trying to leave the Ashland bus station in a taxi. Deputies found a large amount of heroin mixed inside a peanut butter jar in the taxi.

Cohen told deputies he was traveling to Portsmouth. They arrested him for possession and trafficking heroin. He is lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.
