First National Bank in Willard robbed

WILLARD — Investigators are on the scene of a reported armed bank robbery in Carter County today.

The robbery was reported about 1 p.m. at First National Bank on Ky. 1 in Willard.

The man went into the bank and asked the teller for money. They believe he was armed, dispatchers in Grayson said.

Dispatchers believe the man, who fled on foot, got away with money but may have dropped it after running from the bank.

Kentucky State Police, the Carter County Sheriff's Office and Grayson Police are on the scene of the crime.
