Ashland water should be restored next week

ASHLAND — The City of Ashland water system should be fully restored the first of next week, according to city manager Ben Bitter.

Workers are doing final repairs on the leaks at 39th and 43rd Streets on Winchester Avenue, causing some decreased water pressure in some areas.

The crucial Debord Hill tank is at 55 feet, he said, a good sign toward restoration of water pressure throughout the system, Bitter said.

The City plans additional water testing at the first of the week. That’s needed to cancel the boil water advisory. Also, customers are asked to conserve water whenever possible.

The water problems have been ongoing for 10 days.
