Update: ECHS senior killed in Boyd County crash

PRINCESS — Kentucky State Police still aren't releasing details of a three-vehicle accident on U.S. 60 that killed one and injured six Thursday evening. However, The Independent has learned the identity of the person killed from other sources.

Multiple sources have identified the victim as Paige Bush, a senior at East Carter High School.

Bush was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 6 p.m. at the junction of U.S. 60 and Ky. 5. Four others were flown to St. Mary's Medical Center; two were taken by ambulance to St. Mary's.

The accident shut down the roadway for about five hours.
