ASHLAND — A power outage has shut down the traffic signal at U.S. 23 and Diedrich Boulevard north of Ashland at the Boyd-Greenup county line.
Stop signs have been placed to control traffic entering and exiting US 23 at the intersection until power and signals can be restored:
- All traffic coming from Diedrich or turning onto Diedrich must stop and wait for a gap in US 23 traffic before proceeding.
- All through traffic on US 23 has the right of way, and may proceed north or south through the intersection without stopping.
All roadways, including main routes such as US 23 and I-64, remain mostly covered with snow this morning. State highway crews continue to work to clear roadways, plowing and treating with salt. However, slick conditions will remain possible throughout the day and motorists are advised to restrict non-essential travel.
Road condition updates are available by calling 511 or visiting 511.ky.gov, or via District 9's social media accounts at Twitter.com/KYTCDistrict9 and Facebook.com/KYTCDistrict9.
