POLICE BEAT: Several thefts reported to APD

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Theft

- A man on Monday reported a 9 mm handgun was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the 2300 block of Hilton Avenue.

- A Hilton Avenue resident on Monday reported someone stole the spare wheel and tire from his Dodge Durango.

- A man on Sunday reported the theft of a Fender bass guitar from Thunder Bay Studio, 234 16h St.

- A woman on Monday reported $200 cash and a $28 Walmart gift card were stolen from her wallet after she inadvertently left it in a Walmart dressing room.

Shoplifting

- A 26-year-old Ashland woman was arrested Tuesday at Walmart for allegedly attempting to steal merchandise valued at $88.98.

- A 36-year-old Russell woman was arrested Tuesday at Walmart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $20.49.

Criminal mischief

- A resident of the 3100 block of Simpson Road on Monday reported someone vandalized his home while he was away. Damage included broken door glass and two broken windows, a damaged screen and holes punched in the vinyl siding.
