Road rage incident leaves 1 man dead

LOUISVILLE — Louisville police say a 29-year-old man was killed in a road rage incident near his home earlier this week.

The Courier-Journal (http://cjky.it/1toKxuv ) reports that the man, Justin D. Beeler, lived about a half mile from where his vehicle struck a tree in the median of a parkway near Churchill Downs. Deputy Coroner Rita Taylor says the cause of death was blunt force trauma.

Police say Beeler and another man were chasing each other in their vehicles Tuesday afternoon when Beeler struck the tree. Police say the other vehicle was riddled with bullet holes.

Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell says the driver of the other vehicle was questioned by police but has not been taken into custody.
