Jackson retires as CEO at KDMC

ASHLAND — King's Daughters Medical Center President and CEO Fred Jackson announced his retirement this morning, effective immediately.

Jackson will be replaced by Kristie Whitlatch, who has been at the medical center for 25 years and was previously the chief operating officer.

Jackson was hired in July 1996 and began building the medical center into the regional health complex it has become.

He previously served as president, Central Region, Meridia Health Systems; President/CEO, Meridia Huron Hospital; President/CEO, Meridia Euclid Hospital; Vice president, Operations, Meridia Euclid Hospital; and President, Northeast Ohio General Hospital.

His community involvement including being a board member of the King's Daughters Medical Center, board member of King's Daughters Health Foundation, board member of Kentucky Heart Foundation, board member of Kingsbrook Lifecare Center and American Red Cross Advisory Board.
