IRONTON — A man who authorities considered armed and dangerous turned himself into police just before midnight Thursday.
Gregory Cox, 32, surrendered to a U.S. Marshal’s Task Force at his mother’s home on County Road 24 outside Ironton.
He was booked into the Lawrence County Detention Center and will have a bond hearing Friday.
Cox faces multiple charges in Lawrence County, Ohio, and also is wanted on charges in Boyd and Carter counties in Kentucky.
Cox admitted he was driving a stolen vehicle out of Gallipolis, Ohio, police said.
He was originally wanted on auto theft and wanton endangerment charges but will now face additional charges.
Besides the U.S. Marshal's office, several law enforcement agencies in the area took part in the search for Cox.
The Ashland Police Department issued a press release asking for the public’s help in locating Cox on Wednesday night.
