Greenup water customers asked to conserve

GREENUP — Customers in the Greenup Water System are being asked to conserve water because of systemwide leaks.

Also, bulk water is available at the fire station in Greenup. Customers need to bring a container.

The tank is Lloyd is completely dry and the other seven in the system are crtically low, according to Mayor Lundie Meadows.

Customers should report any leak to the city or the water department at 473-6757.

Meadows said the leads may get worse as the temperature rises and the ground shifts.
