Bottled water available at fire stations

GREENUP — Greenup County residents affected by water outages there can pick up free bottled water at the Lloyd and Load fire stations, according to Greenup Mayor Lundie Meadows.

Meadows said a shipment of 700 cases of water provided by the Christian Appalachian Project arrived Sunday night and an additional 1,000-case shipment from Tampa, Fla., was en route and expected soon.

Meadows also said he was hopeful water would be restored to about 90 percent of Greenup water customers by 9 p.m. tonight.
