CATLETTSBURG — Nancy Anne Broughton of Catlettsburg and William Hervey Snouse of Lancaster, Ohio, were united in marriage Saturday at Catlettsburg United Methodist Church by the Rev. Charles Allen. She was escorted by her son, Robert Stephen Broughton of Cullman, Ala.

Patricia Hall of Ashland served as matron of honor.

Richard Snouse of Springfield, Ohio, served his brother as best man.

A program of music was presented by organist Mildred Nipp of Ashland and Alice Brown of Lloyd, who sang “No One But God Loves You More,” “God Gave Me You” and “Household of Faith.”

Tapers were lit by Suellen Zornes Cunningham of North Carolina and Janice Alexander of Raceland. Guests were registered by Phyllis Elkins of Ashland. Flowers were by Lori Bowling.

The bride is a 1953 graduate of Ashland Senior High School and is a retired cosmetologist. She is a member of the Hilltop Club of the Boyd County Extension Homemakers where she has served as president, past vice president of the Northeast Area Extension Homemakers and she served on the CEC Council, 4-H council, FCS council, Boyd County District Extension Board, KEHA State 4-H youth/Development Education chairman and is serving as  KEHA state first vice president. She is a member of the Beech Street Christian Church.

The groom is a 1953 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. He is a retired lieutenant from the U.S. Navy, having served aboard the USS Braine and the USS Milliphen. He is a phase and management engineer retired from Ohio Paper Board Co. He is a member of Trinity Family Life Center Methodist Church in Pickerington, Ohio.

The couple will reside in Lancaster.
