ASHLAND — Scott Lewis and Ashley Hawkins were married on Sept. 22, 2012, in Spindletop Hall in Lexington by the Rev. Adaryll Jordan.

The bride is the daughter of Dennis Hawkins and Leslie Cutshaw of Milton. She is a 2004 graduate of Trimble County High School and earned a bachelor’s degree and PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Kentucky in 2008 and 2012, respectively.

The groom is the son of Alan and Deborah Lewis of Ashland. He is a 2003 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School and earned a bachelors and PhD degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Kentucky in 2006, and 2011, respectively.

They are both employed as senior research scientists at Ashland Water Technologies, a division of Ashland Inc.

The bride was attended by matron of honor Jenna Mattingly. Bridesmaids were Kathryn Weinfurtner, Kristen Cooper and Kimberly Lewis, sister of the groom.

Tyler Morrison served as best man. The groomsmen were Jacob Walbourn, Kevin Duggan and Zachary Hawkins, brother of the bride. Ushers were Austin Cornett, Rob Russell and Vence Easterling.

A reception followed at Spindletop Hall. The couple will honeymoon in Hawaii in April. They reside in Wilmington, Del.
