ASHLAND — Megan Brooke Thomas was married to Cortney Michael Justice on July 6 at First United Methodist Church in Ashland by Pastor James Barrett. Soloist was bridesmaid and cousin of the bride, Shawna McCown of Louisville.

The parents of the bride are Mitch and Jeanine Thomas of Rush.

The groom’s parents are Jim and Rebecca Tackett of Rush.

The matrons of honor were sisters of the bride, Hollie Hamilton of Ashland and Heather Frazier of Louisa. Bridesmaids were Shawna McCown of Louisville, Amanda Thomas of Ashland, cousins of the bride, and Amanda Elliott of Ashland.

The best men were Jason Hicks and Jeremy Walker, both of Ashland. Groomsmen were Chris Justice and Ryan Justice, both of Ashland and brothers of the groom, and junior groomsmen was Chase Hamilton of Ashland, nephew of the bride.

Other attendants were ring bearer Mitchell Frazier of Louisa, nephew of the bride; sign bearer Conor Hamilton of Louisa, nephew of the bride; flower girl Annie Frazier of Louisa, niece of the bride; and flower girl Chloe Hamilton of Ashland, niece of the bride.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Boyd County High School and a 2004 graduate of Morehead State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed with Boyd County School district as a teacher at Cannonsburg Elementary School.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Boyd County High School and is employed with Ramey-Estep Homes.

The couple honeymooned in Pompano Beach, Fla., and reside in Catlettsburg.
