Salmons-Porter

Melissa Dawn Salmons and Jeffrey Lee Porter exchanged wedding vows Sept. 29, 2007, in Sandbridge Beach, Va., with the marriage commissioner Al Sokolik officiating the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Harry and Patty Salmons of Kitts Hill and Winford and Sue Porter of Ashland.

The bride is a 1995 graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and is currently attending nursing school at Ohio University Southern and Collins Career Center. She is presently employed with Ashland Chiropractic Center.

The groom is a 1987 graduate of Boyd County High School and a 1989 graduate of Ashland Technical College. He is employed as a general foreman with Stein Inc. in Ashland.

Flower girl was Megan Rose Hitchcock, daughter of the bride.

Other attendants were Winford and Sue Porter and Harry and Patty Salmons.

Following a wedding trip to Virginia Beach, the couple are residing in Catlettsburg.
