Hughes-Locker

Connie Hughes and Phillip Locker exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 28, 2008, at the Wedding Chapel in Catlettsburg, with the Rev. Marty Gute officiating the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are John and Tina Hughes of Catlettsburg and Mike and Brenda Volk.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Carla Sisler. Maid of honor was Penny Stewart.

Flower girls were Savannah McKenzie and Amber Phillips.

Best man was Steve Sisler.

Groomsman was Austin Willis, son of the bride. Ushers were D.J. Vercrouse, Billie Wellman, Matt Cobb and Charlie Vercrouse.

Ringbearer was A.J. Greene, son of the bride.

Following the wedding, a reception was given in their honor at Armco Park.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Boyd County High School and is self-employed.

The groom is in the U.S. Army.

After a honeymoon to Daytona, Fla., the couple are residing in Newport, Va.
