Cooper-Wilcox

KaDawna Linlee Cooper and Joey Jackson Wilcox were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m. on July 4, 2008, in a double-ring ceremony at the couple’s residence. The outdoor ceremony was performed by the Rev. Tom Riffe of Pactolus Methodist Church.

The bride was presented by her brother, James Darren Cooper. The bride is the daughter of Linda Willis Cooper and the late James Cooper. Grandparents of the bride are the late Earl and Lucille Willis and the late Elmer and Edith Cooper. Honorary grandparents of the bride were Jerry and Gerri Carra, Grant and Minnie Carter and Clair and Arlene Hunter, all in-laws of the bride’s siblings.

Joey is the son of Alvin and Joni Wilcox of Grayson. He is the grandson of Junior and Molly Jackson and Walter and Carolyn Wilcox, all of Grayson.

The bride is a graduate of East Carter High School and Morehead State University. She is employed by the Carter County School System.

The groom is also a graduate of East Carter High School and attended Ashland Community College. He is employed by Boilermakers Local 40.

Music for the ceremony was provided by soloist Brenda Kelley.

Matron of honor was Miranda Suttles Davis. Maid of honor was Kirby Horton. Bridesmaids were Whitney Dyer and Jill Baldwin, all friends of the bride.

Flower girls were Jaylei Kelly, cousin of the bride, and Makenna Davis. Ring bearer was Reid Roberts, nephew of the groom.

Best man was Michael Wilcox, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Derrick Fleming, Jonathon Johnson and Michael Coburn, all friends of the groom.

Ushers were Brett Carra, Ryan Hunter and Riley Hunter, all nephews of the bride.

A reception followed the ceremony.

The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico. The newlyweds reside in Grayson.
