Waggoner-Suttles

Laura-Ashley Waggoner and Jeremy Wayne Suttles were united in marriage at 6 p.m. in a double-ring, outdoor ceremony at the McConnell House in Wurtland on June 7, 2008, by the Rev. Marvin Boggs of Wurtland Missionary Baptist Church.

The bride was presented from a horse-drawn carriage by her parents, Eddie and Kimberly Waggoner of Raceland. Grandparents of the bride are James and Rosa Stevens and Oren and Annette Catlin, all of Raceland, and Willard and Cordie Waggoner of Wurtland. She is employed at Regis.

The groom is the son of James and Debra Suttles of Grayson and the grandson of Bob and Pelma Bush of Grayson. He is employed at Progress Rail of Raceland.

Music for the ceremony was by Sonja Vanderhoof and Rachael Vanderhoof, vocalists.

Maid of honor was Keri Vanderhoof. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Waggoner of Raceland and Christina Helms of Ashland, both sisters of the bride, and Haley Waggoner of Lake Charles, La., cousin of the bride.

Flower girls were Michelle Vanderhoof of Raceland and Ella Campbell of Grayson, cousin of the groom.

Best man was Billy Carroll of Grayson. Groomsmen were Anthony Carter, Travis Fraley, both of Grayson, Jeff Oney of Olive Hill and Dusty Rivers of Indiana. Ushers were Justin Wright, Jerrod Huffman, Blake Flanery and Isaac Flanery, all of Grayson.

Ringbearers were Trey Catlin of Westwood, cousin of the bride; and William Waggoner of Lake Charles.

The bride and groom were ushered to the wedding reception in a carriage after the ceremony.

The bride wore a white wedding dress dusted with pink satin, with a long train and heart-shaped rhinestones. Her bouquet was pink and lavender peonies.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico.

Following the honeymoon, the couple reside in Raceland.
