Bowe-Ward

Whitney Lynn Bowe and Christopher Matthew Ward were wed Oct. 7, 2006, at Old Orchard Church of Christ with Scott Blount of Vero Beach officiating.

Mrs. Ward, daughter of Dallas and Cheryl Bowe of Ashland, is a graduate of Morehead State University. She is a teacher at Fairview Elementary School.

Mr. Ward, son of Gene and Ellenda Ward of Huntington, is a professional umpire for minor league baseball in the Carolina League.

The bride was presented by her father.

Brittany Atkins served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Carolyn Carter, Elizabeth Carter, Sarah Moore Clark and Laura Coldiron.

Junior bridesmaid was Marigrace Gorden and flower girl was Abigail Gorden.

The best man, Chris Watts, was accompanied by groomsmen Jeff Bickar, Gary Kistner, Gary Roswall and Rob Thomas.

Ushers were Landon Bowe, brother of the bride, Ryan Ferguson, P.W. Saunders and Robert Tyree.

Junior groomsman was Luke Perry and ringbearers were David Tyree and Michael Tyree.

Vocalists included Kenny Chaney, Jamie Lester and Chris Ward, groom, with his song to the bride.

A reception followed at Park Place Grille in Ashland.

After a honeymoon cruise to Key West, Cozumel and the Bahamas, the couple reside in Ashland.
