Cornette-Louanglath

Shellie Daniellie Cornette and Matthew Lee Louanglath were wed June 24, 2006, at Beech Street Christian Church in Ashland. The Rev. Charles Williams, the bride’s grandfather, pastor of Route 5 Christian Baptist, and the Rev. Libby Rogers, pastor of Columbus First in Columbus, Ohio, officiated the ceremony.

Mrs. Louanglath is the daughter of Gary and Teresa Cornette of Ashland. She is a 2006 graduate of Boyd County High School and a student at Paramount Beauty Academy in Portsmouth.

Mr. Louanglath is the son of Say and Rhonda Louanglath of Whitehall, Ohio. He is a 2001 graduate of Whitehall Yearling High School and of IBEW Portsmouth Local No. 575. He has been employed by KenWorth in Chillicothe, Ohio, since 2001.

The bride was presented by her father.

Jessica Vanderdoes served as the maid of honor, with bridesmaids April Nelson, Amanda Henderson and Kayla Newman. Jordon Velesquez of Ashland and Aubrie Thomas of Columbus served as the flower girls.

Nuptial music was provided by Randy Kamer and David Libby. Vocalists included Nikki Thomas and Brenice Kamer.

The best man, Josh Louanglath, brother of the groom, was accompanied by groomsmen Jason Plummer, Chad Burn of Ashland and Jerremy Kamer. Ushers were Chuck Williams, uncle of the bride; Shane Williams, cousin of the bride; Adam Cornette, brother of the bride; Matt Thomas; and Alex Murphy of Columbus. Ryan Cornett, the bride’s brother served as ring bearer.

A reception for the couple was at the Highlands Museum in Ashland.

Following a wedding trip to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, the couple reside in Lucasville, Ohio.
