Cannon-Nichols

Jennifer Cannon and Doy Nichols repeated their wedding vows during a ceremony on March 1 at South Ashland United Methodist Church.

The couple were married on Dec. 19, 2007, in the Charmin Restrooms on Times Square in New York City. They had won a trip to New York City so that the bride could be wed in a dress designed by Hannah Kim, made from seven rolls of Charmin bathroom tissue.

The March 1 recommitment ceremony was so that friends and family could share in the joy of their marriage.

Parents of the couple are John and Lynda Cannon of Ashland and Evelyn Nichols of Ripley, W.Va.

She is a 1995 graduate of Rose Hill Christian School and is a case manager at CAKY in Lexington.

He is a 2000 graduate of Ripley High School in Ripley, W.Va., and is a truck driver for CRST International.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Lauren Banks. Bridesmaids were Julie Wheeler and Leslie Hall and attendant was Aryssa Damron, daughter of the bride.

Best man was Curtis Thaxton. Groomsmen were Jeff Cooner and Scott George.

A reception followed the ceremony at the church.

The couple are residing in Lexington.
