Fosson-Groves
Brooke Elizabeth Fosson and Kenneth Burton Groves were married in a morning ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at the Westwood Enterprise Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Michael Locklear.
The bride is the daughter of Scott and Anna Fosson of Russell and the granddaughter of Jack Bailey of Flatwoods, and the late Sybil McClure Bailey, and Betty Fosson of Ashland, and the late Ralph “Peck” Fosson. She is a graduate of Russell High School and has a degree in pharmacy technology from Ashland Community College. She is employed at City National Bank in Ashland.
The groom is the son of Kenneth and Linda Groves of Catlettsburg. He is a graduate of Boyd County High School and is employed as a supervisor at Ameritech.
The bride was escorted by her father to the altar, which was decorated with fall flowers and candles. She carried a cascading bouquet of white lilies, roses, gerber daisies, stephanotis with pearl strands. A candle was lit in memory of the bride’s grandmother Bailey and grandfather Fosson.
Amanda Young of Flatwoods was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Frasure of Flatwoods, Erin Fosson, sister-in-law of the bride, of Louisville and Yvonnda Groves, sister of the groom, of Catlettsburg.
B.J. Haynie of Boyd County served as best man.
Groomsmen were Brad Williams of Boyd County, Chris Fosson, brother of the bride, of Louisville and David Gray of Boyd County. Junior groomsman was Bradley Groves, brother of the groom, of Catlettsburg.
Ushers were Jeff Whitson and Sean Cole, both of Boyd County.
Flower girl was Madison Salyer, cousin of the bride, of Florence, S.C.
Guests were registered by Paige Fosson, Madison Fosson and Stephanie Wireman, cousins of the bride, all of Ashland.
A luncheon reception and dancing followed the ceremony at the Bellefonte Country Club.
The bride and groom honeymooned on a cruise to the Grand Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico.
The couple are residing in Flatwoods.
