BANANA TREE STUDIOS

Through Oct. 26 — National Arts and Humanities Month. Student exhibit Fleming County School District reception for the Fleming County art students from 5 to 8 p.m. Student art will be for sale.

DOODLES STUDIO & GALLERY

Friday, 5 to 9 p.m. — “A Celebration of Nature,” featuring traditional, heritage and contemporary works by Kentucky artisans. This show will run through Dec. 10.

The gallery has a large variety of gift items such as hand-crafted glass and silver jewelry by Pam Wiseman and Linda Pennington, hand-made soaps and candles and quilted table runners and seasonal wall hangings.

A new body of work by Michael Wagner will be available and artists Dana Sorrell and Dale Regensburger will have new work at the show.

Doodles is proud to feature pottery by Toby Fried.

There is also hand-carved wooden jewelry boxes by artist Tim Ashmore of Morehead and new photography by Russ Roe and several hand-made tree ornaments by Brenda Flynn, Katie Knapp and Jeri Wagner.

Through Oct. 31 — Hit us with your best shot photo exhibit.

Oct. 22 through 25 — Elizabeth Roseberry Mitchell’s 1836 graveyard quilt on display.

Oct. 24, 7 p.m. — Linda Otto Lipsettat the museum. Hear a first-person presentation of Elizabeth Roseberry Mitchell and the events that led to the making of her 1836 graveyard quilt. Lipsett is a quilt historian and author of five books. She will be signing books after the presentation. Admission is free, but seating is limited, call to reserve a space.

Oct. 25 — “Dining with the Past,” a guided tour of the Ashland Cemetery, as well as dinner prior to the tour. Tickets are $15.

Nov. 1, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Hannah Montana day. Come be with the museum for karaoke, food prizes, makeovers, crafts and more. $5 per ticket.

Dec. 6, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Dec. 7, 1 to 6 p.m. — Christmas Tour of Homes. Advance tickets are $15; after Dec. 5, $20.

MUSEUM OF ART

Oct. 17, 7 p.m. — The museum will welcome Janis Mars Wunderlich as gropius artist and present feature length documentary titled “Who does she think she is?” Admission is free. A reception will follow.

PAINTED COW GALLERY

Studio home for the Lawrence County Arts Council, 103 S. Main St., Louisa. The gallery has a wide diversity of fine hand-made artwork on display and for sale from artists of the Tri-State and beyond.

Come see the fall and Halloween exhibit, the largest of its kind in the Tri-State area.

Commissioned artists are available for specific art work. Six new artists have signed up during Septemberfest. They are unique in their own way.

Tuesdays — Artists Day. Bring your own supplies (except oils) and for $5, spend the day creating with other artists. Drawing and watercolor lessons are also available.

Greg Painter, acrylic and watercolor, is now exclusive to the gallery.

ART CENTER

Artist of the Month is acrylic artist Danielle Craig of Studio 105.

The Pendleton Art Center at 1537-1539 Winchester Ave., Ashland, houses the working and retail sale studios of artists and craftsmen from the Tri-State Area with a wide range of talents.
