ANN DAVIS GALLERY
Items for the Oct. 3 auction, Chairs for Charity and Art for Hospice, will be on display for First Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. Works from the permanent collection will also be on exhibit.
Guests are invited to visit the Potters Loft to view work of Bill Meadows and his students.

The gallery, in Suite 206 on the second floor of the Camayo Arcade, 1536 Winchester Ave., Ashland, is home to working artists Gail Kirtz and Rodney Chapman, both of whom work in various media and offer their original art and prints for sale.
Special exhibit — “Toothpick Constructions” by Les Hayes, which include a replica of his home, the Spider Web House, Cracker Barrel restaurants, the old Russell High School, houses, barns, churches and depots.
Openings are still available in classes or private lessons in pastel, acrylic and oil.
The studio and gallery are handicapped accessible with an elevator and open by appointment.

PAINTED COW GALLERY
Studio home for the Lawrence County Arts Council, 103 S. Main St., Louisa. The gallery has a wide diversity of fine hand-made artwork on display and for sale from artists of the Tri-State and beyond.

THE PENDLETON
ART CENTER
Artwork on display for Ashland's Sept. 5 First Friday Downtown Artwalk in the lobby of the Pendleton will be featuring local landmarks and scenes. Visit the artists in their studios from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday. A fashion show will be at 3 p.m. Saturday featuring wearable art by many of the artists.
Holly Tatterson featuring handmade clothing, jewelry and accessories of Studio 127 is Artist of the Month for September.
The Pendleton Art Center at 1537-1539 Winchester Ave., Ashland, houses the working and retail sale studios of artists and craftsmen from the Tri-State Area with a wide range of talents.

THE UPSTAIRS GALLERY
Sept. 5 — First Friday Art Walk with Gary Zornes, oilist, of Russell, as the featured artist of the month. There will be a sidewalk artist, weather permitting, or upstairs, Della Lewis, a novelist from Proctorville. She will be signing booklets for her soon to be published books, “into the Flame,” “Right Bride,” and “Wrong Groom and Revenge.”
The gallery’s collection contains works by 30 of the best artists in the area.
New business and framing hours for August is Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
