CLAYPOOL-YOUNG ART GALLERY

DOODLES STUDIO & GALLERY

‰Paper Mosaic class is $65 including 6”X6” canvas or mirror frame, craft Knife, decoupage medium and dimensional paint as well as six to eight class hours of instruction to be done in one day.

‰Traditional Mosaic class are $110, which includes mirror frame, tile nippers, safety glasses, adhesive and six class hours of instruction.

‰Through Oct. 18 — “Who’s Who in the Vault: Portraits from the Permanent Collection.”

‰Through May 24 — “Slightly Unbalanced,” an exhibition of works by contemporary artists that focuses on the issue of psychological neurosis and its presence in much of today’s art.

The new, eight-week session of the Wheel Thrown Pottery classes began March 9 and 17 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Potters Loft, L Style Salon, 1516 Winchester Ave.

PAINTED COW GALLERY

Studio home for the Lawrence County Arts Council, 103 S. Main St., Louisa. The gallery has a wide diversity of fine hand-made artwork on display and for sale from artists of the Tri-State and beyond.

Commissioned artists are available for specific art work.

The Lawrence County Arts Council is working with the Lawrence County Humane Society for its second annual Animal Walk. The gallery will sponsor a Dog Walk Art Contest. For more information, call Maureen at (606) 638-1313.

The gallery is dedicating this month for the “LOVE OF ART” and has a wide diversity of fine hand-made artwork including drawings, paintings, photography, abstract sculptures, quilts, handmade jewelry, books from local authors/artists, note cards, decorative painted juvenile furniture, art dolls, etc. all on display and for sale from artists of the Tri-State and beyond.

THE PENDLETON

ART CENTER

The Pendleton Art Center at 1537-1539 Winchester Ave., Ashland, houses the working and retail sale studios of artists and craftsmen from the Tri-State Area with a wide range of talents. Some studios are open daily; some are open by appointment with the artist. Contact information for artists is available in the lobby.

Artist of the month is Jason Stewart of Studio 138.
