Elderly woman struck by train in eastern Ky.

HAZARD, Ky. — Authorities said an elderly eastern Kentucky woman was critically injured when a train struck her.

Police said 82-year-old Mildred Lockard was standing near railroad tracks in the Four Mile area of Bell County late Sunday afternoon when she was hit by a train.

Lockard was flown to University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
